Group Therapy to Help You Heal, Grow, and Find Support in Community

Group therapy offers a safe, professionally guided space to learn skills, process real-life challenges, and grow alongside others who understand. You don’t have to do healing alone.

Who Group Therapy Helps

Group therapy may be a great fit if you want:

  • Support managing anxiety, stress, or emotional overwhelm

  • Tools for emotional regulation and healthier coping

  • Help improving relationships and communication

  • Healing from painful experiences in a safe environment

  • A sense of connection, belonging, and shared understanding

  • Accountability and encouragement as you grow

What to Expect in Group Therapy

At The Becoming Agency, our groups are:

  • Led by licensed, trauma-informed clinicians

  • Structured with clear topics and goals

  • Balanced between skills, reflection, and supportive discussion

  • Confidential and respectful (with clear group agreements)

  • Designed to help you build tools you can use in daily life

How Groups Are Structured

Some groups may be offered in person, through secure Telehealth, or in a hybrid format.

  • Cohort-based (closed groups) so trust can build

  • Typically 6–12 participants

  • Weekly & Bi weekly sessions (commonly 8–10 weeks)

  • Brief screening/intake to ensure the group is the right fit

How Our 5 Movement Framework Supports Group Therapy

Group therapy isn’t random. Our groups are guided by the 5 Movement Becoming Framework, helping you gain clarity and see progress over time:

  • Uncover what’s happening beneath the surface.

  • Unlearn patterns and coping strategies that no longer serve you.

  • Heal emotional wounds through safe processing and support.

  • Become stronger through tools, skills, and new relational experiences.

  • Sustain growth with rhythms, accountability, and real-life practice.

This isn’t a rigid program; it’s a compassionate guide.

Faith can be thoughtfully included if desired.

FAQs

Is group therapy confidential?

Yes. We establish clear confidentiality agreements and group expectations. While we cannot control what others choose to share outside group, we set strong boundaries and culture to protect safety and trust.

Do I need individual therapy to join a group?

Not always. Some people benefit from group therapy alone; others pair it with individual counseling. We’ll help you decide what’s best.

How do I know if a group is right for me?

We complete a brief screening to make sure the group matches your needs and supports your safety.

What if I feel nervous joining a group?

That’s normal. Most people feel hesitant at first. Groups are structured to feel safe, paced, and supportive.

Can I do group therapy through Telehealth?

Some groups are offered through secure Telehealth. We’ll confirm availability and fit.
